46.5 miles and blowing hard

So a big week again...  46 and half miles, plus a tough personal trainer session at the gym at the start and end of the week, swimming.... no wondered I am enjoying a rest day today...

18 miles at Virginia Waters lake, felt like I was running backwards at time, the speed people were coming past me! But held firm and just kept the pace. Those monsters in my mind we tamed this time :)

Bit of an achilles issue - but running 18 miles on it wasn't perhaps the best treatment! oh well.

So 11 weeks to go... 2 to the Wokingham Half - the time is starting to fly, literally...  not much to report apart from the obvious statement that I do love running ... (just wish I was quicker!)

Long time ....no blog

So first blog since the start of the new year.
Time is flying - mileage is up, speed if up sometimes, races getting closer.
Mainly injury free - till swimming and achilles playing up.
So I have run in Cape Town, Monaco, Nottingham and of course Hurst :)
Big test this weekend when I go back up to 20 miles.... let's just see ...

New Years Day - 1/1/11 - interval training

Ouch - went right back to Day 1 to celebrate the New Year... used the original podcast as well :o)
8x 1 minute intervals off 90 seconds recovery.... now that felt like hard work indeed!!!!
Now will be a fixed part of the weekly schedule...
