Hmmm - so Nottingham Marathon and a DNF - pulled out at about 14.5 miles.
All going very well to 12 miles then knee started to play up - which then put my back out and doom... started going backwards...
Was doing great on the hills, gel strategy was playing out well along with drink plan.... so lots of lessons learnt. Shoes were great, no problems with my feet... just shows how it can all turn around. Pace was great I was holding 10 minute miles comfortably...
Although I knew it was high risk when I reviewed all the training I had missed through illness and alike - 375 out of 625 which is only just over half.
Time to rethink the training plan - more core stability is required along with the change to pace and hill runs.
Lots to think about.
But just to be very clear - I'M GUTTED!!!
As the shoes say FFS!!!!
