Well under two weeks to the Nottingham Marathon and I know!! you know - I really know....
Did a 12 miler on the taper and feel like I have been kicked to bits.... oh yes I will suffer... but oh yes I am rather looking forward to it!!!!

Back off and come back harder!!!
So with bad back at the weekend I passed on my long run again! Frustrating but no chance so doing anything but damage.
That said seems to be working out OK - couple of 5 miles so far and back holding together fine. Must say that the physio session on Sunday got more cracks out of my back than a box of rice crispy's !!
So great news today - confirmed slot for 2011 VLM so again I have targets beyond my current plan and I can think of what the winter training will look like :o) Here's wishing for more snow !!!

And there goes my back!!!
All t his moving house, all the hours of carrying stuff up and down stairs.... and getting curtains out of a box, bang....typical !!!!
No run today - was due to be the last long run before taper :o(..... this is a roller coaster again. Will def have to rethink all training plan starting October.... famous last words.

Seems like another lifetime
So bit of a gap in blogging.... moved house, mileage on the up....
So 20 miler on Sunday and then taper into Nottingham. Base speed finally seems to be improving - but just need to hold steady pace on Sunday and see how it goes.
Sure there is more to write but probably not the time......

Anniversary Run
So it was one year ago that I started to run!
From 6x 1 minute intervals to this week 43 miles and today 3 laps of Virginia Waters Lake starting at 5 am.
Including blasting that small hill - felt good.
It's already been a journey but it is only just beginning.
Looking forward to changing the training plan and getting more speed :o)

Tick... tick... tick... tick !
You should never laugh at other mis fortune.
Re-listening to Marathon Talk (Ep 2) and laughed at the rant on runners with bloody shirts due to lack of attention to abrasion.... got home to have blood on my white short pointed out to me!!!!
Now about 5 weeks to Nottingham - OMG!!!
Another note to self: after a stressful day sometimes it makes running very hard! The stress of the day was all to do with the house move and getting various people to actually do what they said they would do, when they said they would do it!!! So the ten miles last night seemed really tough - positive note was I kept going and apart from the blood injuries was still chugging along at the end..... slow and steady! Funny to think this time next week I will have to be finding a new local circuit to run - bye bye Blue Mountain golf course!

Moving times
So doing 3 hours of moving boxes from the loft to the garage before doing a 10k not the best....
