Starting all over again

So first day back - almost back to square one... v v slow and plodding.
That said I did run 3miles/5k without any sense of stopping - but then again at that pace it was the next best thing to standing still!  :o)

About to start again.... at long long last

So about to start again tomorrow (Sunday). So missed 4 full weeks of running so going to be a long road back I think.
Also bit like the winter - tomorrow is due to be 30+ degrees .... only in extremes :o)
Wish myself luck....

No energy - when will I get to start running again

So again today crashed and burned - didn't do anything but ended up going back to bed this afternoon :o(
Simply no energy for anything....

Getting really fed up of this damn bug! :o(

Less than 100 days and no sign when I will start training again

Less than 100 days and no sign when I will start training again

Everyday we all need to be grateful for our health!

Hold everything....

So didn't run last week to try and shake of a bad cough I had been carrying for 3-4 weeks... so now am not running due to being struck down with a stomach bug.
Not felt this bad since that first trek in Nepal (and that took me 4 weeks to recover!!)....
Think this means a rethink of the training plan again.... am thinking of adding morning recovery runs to supplement the main running plan..... we will see.  Although not for al least a few days ! :o(

Sunday 6 June 2010

The motivation specialist said .. "think of yourself as an animal"

Had to laugh, listening to Marathon Talk and a motivational coach said one of the thing was to get people to compare themselves to an animal or bird. One said and eagle, one a lion and on and on....

Was thinking, where did cart horse come on THAT list!!!!   :o)

Plod on my son, plod on....

Saturday 5 June 2010

"Feel the need, the need for speed" said the cart horse

Think the time has come for some interval training..... this is going to hurt (bad).

I am still reeling from the LM splits, I just can't believe how I did 10k in 32 minutes !!! WTF!! is that about and worse still doing it from mile 3 to mile 9 in your first ever marathon....!!! Not a massive surprise that I just blew up and had to survive....I just doesn't make sense but I guess the timing doesn't lie.....
